Disposal of oils and fats present in important concentrations in waste water is often the main problem in obtaining the results expected from subsequent treatment processes.

  • Dissolved air flotation units;
  • Fat separators with air;
  • Neutralizing plants;
  • Installations with micro-filtering membranes.

The main purpose of the dissolved air flotation unit – FRC is to remove the fats, emulsified oils and very fine suspended matters. Before the entry to the flotation unit, the wastewater is mixed with coagulating agent and flocculating agent for a good efficiency in retaining solid matter, phosphorus and biodegradable organic agent. The FRC systems need reagent admixture for pH adjustment, coagulation and flocculation. These reagents are brought in the reaction tubes by the metering pumps.
The unit is provided with pH sensor and pHmeter.

The system equipment consists of:

- metering pump for coagulating agent, metering pump for flocculating agent, metering pump for soda
- pH control system
- poli-electrolyte preparation / metering tank;
- air compressor
- pipes for FLH flocculating agent
- actual FRC-type flotation unit

Applications

  • the food industry for the removal of solids in suspension and separation of oils and fats, that represents the main issue in the dairy, slaughterhouses, canned meat and fish etc;
  • wastewaters treatment from technological processes that generate emulsified oils and fats;
  • in the paper industry, for separation of the paper pulp and obtaining the water used for recycling in the technological process
  • sludge thickening(Sludgeway).
