Industrial Ultra-filtration Systems

Industrial ultrafiltration systems ensures a for very fine filtration of surface or underground water, prefiltered or decanted, with maximum 2000 ppm 1 ÷ 5 NTU salinity and turbidity.

Ultrafiltration is a separation process: under pressure the unsolvable impurities, bacteria and most viruses from the water are isolated through membranes pores (with dimensions from 0.1 to 0.01 microns). Water and solvable compounds are passing through the membrane, and the impurities are retained attached on the surface and are expelled during the backwash, realised on regular time basis, guided through the controller.

The membranes are manufactured from polysulphonic hydrophobic polymers, polyether sulfone, polypropylene, polyvinylidene fluoride.

Backwash efficiency is improved if after a certain number of water wash,  we apply a chemical wash (sodium hypochlorite).

Depending on the pollutant load in raw water, it may be required a pretreatment phase with mechanical filtration, flocculation or precipitation.

Ultrafiltration plants are mounted on a stainless steel frame with a plastic front panel that includes the controller. They are equipped with membrane modules in pressurized containers, valves, gauges and sampeling valves.
